Police have launched an appeal to help track down a missing 17-year-old girl.

The public has been asked to help find Tilly Carter, from Margate, who was last seen at about 2pm yesterday (Friday).

She is 5ft 9, of slim build and has black hair with a hint of red.

Tilly was last seen wearing a black cropped vest, a pink cropped hooded top with a butterfly on it and black leggings.

She also had a white or cream tote bag and may be wearing sunglasses.

Inspector Ian Simpkin said: “We are concerned for Tilly’s welfare and are asking residents and visitors in Thanet to look out for her.

“She is also known to travel by bus and train and we are asking the public outside Thanet to contact us if they see her.”

Anyone who sees Tilly or knows where she might be should call 999, quoting reference 10-1716.
