A man has been arrested after armed police swooped.

Armed officers stopped a vehicle on the A28 Sarre roundabout, between Canterbury and Thanet, at 7.25pm today.

They arrested one man in connection with offences in London. The man remains in custody.

Witnesses say the incident involved up to 10 police cars.

No further details have been released about the nature of the alleged offences.
