Three people have been arrested after a building collapsed and caught alight in Ramsgate.

Emergency services were called to Plains of Waterloo at about 10.15pm last night and the road remains closed.

Two people were injured and taken to hospital.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident while police work with the fire service to establish the circumstances of the blaze.

While at the scene, officers also uncovered a cannabis cultivation in a nearby building.

A full road closure is in place for safety reasons.
