Hollywood star Pedro Pascal turned up at a Pedro Pascal-themed art exhibition in Kent - only to find it closed.
The A-list actor was pictured outside the Rhodes Gallery in Margate on Sunday, where a series of artworks depicting the 48-year-old is currently on show.
Artist Heidi Gentle Burrell, 45, opened her exhibition - ‘ADHD Hyper Fixation and Why It Looks Like I Love Pedro Pascal’ - in June.
Incredibly, the Game of Thrones and Last of Us star then turned up at the gallery at the weekend - but could not get in as it was shut.
Heidi sadly was not there to meet Pascal, who arrived with fellow actor Russell Tovey and artist and former musician Robert Diament.
But she says she is thrilled he is aware of the exhibition.
Heidi, a full-time artist from Wickford, Essex, said: “It was absolutely fantastic – although I can imagine he’s slightly embarrassed, with all the art being about him!
“I’m gutted he showed up on a Sunday when the gallery was closed. I’d love for Robert to bring him along when we’re actually open.”
The gallery confirmed it was shut when Pedro tried to visit - adding they "wished they were open at the time".
Jessica Rhodes Robb, who owns the gallery with her partner Gavin Blake, says the exhibition being closed when its muse arrived “will go down in history”.
She said: “There’s been so much attention; it’s been mind blowing.
“I’m so overjoyed for Heidi, just absolutely beyond belief. This is the third show we’ve done together and she’s an absolute joy to work with.
“At the start of this show I just thought to myself I really hope this goes well for her and the way that she wants it to.
“Because it's quite a niche show, all about one Hollywood star. It could go either way, you know?
“But it’s gone the absolute best way it possibly could. It’s just great. I don’t know where it is going to take us but it's quite cool.”
Heidi, who became a full-time artist in 2020, makes work informed by her ADHD hyperfixations.
These tend to spring from pop culture, and before Mr Pascal she created works based on Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street and the entire cast of the BBC’s ‘Ghosts’.
Heidi posted her Pedro paintings on Instagram - and it caught the attention of Jessica.
And while it appears Pascal, whose credits also include Narcos, The Mandalorian and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, is a fan of the exhibition, it also has another celebrity admirer.
Margate artist Tracey Emin recently responded to a post about the show, saying: “This is so good.”
The show is running at the Rhodes Gallery in UpMargate, The Centre, until September 1.
