Scores of fans flocked to a Kent charity shop to hunt down a bespoke piece hand-painted by a popular artist.
Sophie Tea, who has 1.2 million followers on TikTok and a further 903,000 followers on Instagram, visited Pilgrims Hospices store in Margate High Street on Friday.
The artist – known for her nude paintings of women – regularly buys random items from different charity shops across the UK, before redesigning them.
She then gifts them back to the shop for them to be sold at the same price.
After posting about her visits on social media, fans then gather and the item is raffled, allowing someone to get their hands on her work for a bargain price.
As part of her latest project, she bought an ornament of a Shire horse for £12 at the Thanet charity shop.
The Margate School nearby offered Sophie a space to paint the item.
Upon returning, staff at the shop said about 40 people arrived.
In the post - uploaded before the raffle - Sophie said: “I’m trotting back to Pilgrim’s Hospice Margate now with old mate.
“It’s an earlier one today because they close so hopefully some of you turn up.
“Mega shoutout to The Margate School for letting me paint in the studios. It’s an amazing not-for-profit art school and a super inspiring space.
“Lots of love.”
The figurine was painted with beautiful strokes of pink and red with white splatters.
Leaving a comment on Instagram, a spokesman for Pilgrims Hospices said: "A massive thank you to Sophie for coming into our Margate store and giving us the most amazing day to remember.
“The horse was transformed into an amazing piece of art. We as a charity truly thank you for a wonderful day. It was so much fun and an amazing experience.
“Big shout out to all the people who came to support Sophie and in turn supported our shop."
Fan Emily Doye said: "So glad I finally got to meet you and sorry that I panicked and spoke about panto!
“That horse was actually so gorgeous in person!"
Liv Siret said: "Why can’t I live closer! This one is my favourite."
Sophie Tea is 31 and started painting professionally in 2014.
She specialises in painting the female form, with an aim to boost women’s confidence.
