Attempted murder charge after woman stabbed at home in Guy Close, St Peter’s, Broadstairs

Police have charged a female suspect with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at a home.

Emergency services descended on Guy Close on Thursday night – a sleepy cul-de-sac off Lanthorne Road in St Peter’s, Broadstairs.

An air ambulance landed nearby after reports of a disturbance shortly before 7pm.

Later on, officers cordoned off the home and forensic investigators were seen combing the home for evidence.

It was reported a woman in her 20s had been stabbed and suffered serious injuries.

Police say she was airlifted to a London hospital and have today confirmed she remains in a serious but stable condition.

A woman in her 50s, who is known to the victim, was arrested in connection with the incident.

Yesterday, Carla Lovejoy, of Guy Close, Broadstairs was charged with attempted murder.

The 53-year-old has since been remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Monday.
