A beach carnival which had to be cancelled earlier in the summer will return this week.
Broadstairs Water Gala will take place at Viking Bay and Victoria Gardens in Thanet on Wednesday (August 23).
The event was due to happen on August 2 but organisers cancelled after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds during the day.
Speaking previously, a spokesman for the carnival said: "It would not be safe for us to attempt to run an event with water, beach and bandstand activities.
"Plus our stall holders who help to pay for the event would not be able to set up marquees and gazebos along the promenade.
“But we finally have some good news - we will be rescheduling the Water Gala activities and events to Wednesday along with a grand firework finale.”
The seaside extravaganza is an annual event in Broadstairs.
It is Thanet's longest-running summer attraction and this year will mark its 135th anniversary.
With thousands once again expected to flock to the seaside, the event, which begins at 10am, will feature activities such as a teddy bears picnic, paddleboarding, storytelling and a sandcastle competition.
There will also be a funfair, live music and craft and gift stalls along the promenade.
The climax to the festival will be a "spectacular firework display" at 9.45pm.
