Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was badly injured in a collision with a car.
The 25-year-old, from the Whitstable area, was airlifted to a hospital in London where he is said to be in a "serious, but stable" condition.
The crash, involving a blue Honda motorcycle and a dark grey Citroen Picasso, happened on Bromstone Road at its junction with Gloucester Avenue in Broadstairs at around 2.50pm yesterday.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
The road was closed for several hours while police officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit carried out enquiries.
Detective sergeant Scott Lynch said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the two vehicles prior to the collision, or anyone who witnessed the collision itself as soon as possible.”
