A 33-year-old man has been taken to a London hospital with serious injuries after his motorbike hit a wall this morning.

The motorcyclist, from Margate, was taken to Kings College Hospital in London after the crash on the B2052 near the junction of George Hill Road and Whiteness Road in Broadstairs at 12.40am.

The blue Suzuki SV650 bike was the only vehicle involved. The road was closed until 6.30am.
