A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash in Ramsgate.

The biker was in collision with a white van at the junction with Hereson Road and Montefiore Avenue just before 4pm.

Two ambulances were called and police closed the road.

The motorcyclist was treated at the scene, and witnesses said he was conscious as paramedics loaded him into the ambulance.

He has been taken to hospital suffering from injuries to his body, which are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road is now open.
