A biker has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was in a crash with a car in Westgate-on-Sea today.

Police were called to Canterbury Road just after 4pm after reports of a crash involving a motorbike and a car.

The road was partly blocked off as ambulance crews attended.

The motorcyclist was taken to the QEQM hospital in Margate with serious, but not life-threatening, injures.

The road reopened at around 5.15pm.
