Yobs obliterated two bins by putting fireworks in them - and a free ice-cream reward has been offered to find those responsible.
The bins are near Broadstairs bandstand, and have been "melted to nothing" by the "mindless criminals".
The destruction happened on Monday evening, at about 10pm, when a firework was lit and placed inside them, consequentially explodin.
Mike Bridges, 45, is the licensee of the bandstand and runs Broadstairs Bandstand Café and stumbled across the damage on Tuesday.
Mr Bridges, also chairman of the town's tourism board, told KentOnline: "While this is an isolated incident, it’s a shame that a few mindless criminals feel the need to vandalise and damage property which is there to keep Broadstairs tidy.
"Luckily, we don’t see this kind of thing often at the bandstand, but when it happens it’s upsetting for those of us who work to maintain the area.
"I’m glad the council has acted so quickly and got our lovely area back to looking how it should.
"I’m offering free ice-cream for a successful prosecution of these yobs."
The damage has now been cleared and Thanet District Council have replaced the bins with new ones.
A council spokesperson said: "We were notified of damage to bins at the bandstand in Broadstairs.
"The bins were unusable as a result, and we took swift action to replace them within an hour of receiving the report.
"We would encourage members of the public to report instances of anti-social behaviour via our website."
