A warning about lighting bonfires has been issued after a blaze destroyed a garden shed.
Firefighters were called to a house in Newington Road, Ramsgate this afternoon where the fire is believed to have spread accidentally to the outbuilding.
Two fire engines were sent at 5.32pm and crews extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.
A wooden gazebo was also damaged but no injuries were reported.
Following the incident, the fire service has reminded people lighting a bonfire to take care and offered advice.
A spokesman said: "Keep it small and well clear of greenery, fences or property.
"Supervise the burning at all times and have a bucket of water/hosepipe nearby.
"Also, it's nice to let your neighbours know out of courtesy."
If the fire gets out of control then people are told to call 999.
