A boy was treated by ambulance crews after being hit by a car.

Emergency services were called to Whitehall Road, Ramsgate, following the incident shortly after 3.30pm.

Police closed the road.

A police spokesman said: "Police received a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at 3.36pm.

"Officers are attending the scene in Whitehall Road in Ramsgate and the road is currently closed.

"A boy has reported injuries and is currently being tended to by the South East Coast Ambulance Service."
