Boy hit by car in Margate Road, Ramsgate, airlifted to London hospital

A boy was airlifted to a London hospital with potentially serious injuries after being hit by a car.

Police closed Margate Road in Ramsgate after the youngster was struck yesterday afternoon.

The victim, whose age has not been released, suffered potentially serious injuries following the incident at about 3.30pm.

Paramedics were called to the scene and were joined by the air ambulance service, which landed nearby.

The boy was treated at the scene before being airlifted to King's College Hospital.

The road was closed between the junctions with Whitehall Road and St Luke’s Avenue.
