A teenager had to be taken to hospital after being hit by a car yesterday.

Police were called to Northdown Road, Cliftonville yesterday afternoon following the incident.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at 4.51pm on Sunday 15 October.

"Officers attended the scene in Northdown Road, Cliftonville.

"A teenage boy sustained an injury and was taken to a local hospital."
