Burger King has announced the reopening two more of its restaurants in Kent.
As part of its phased re-opening plan, the fast food giant is reopening branches in Chatham High Street and at Westwood Cross in Broadstairs.
The Broadstairs branch is open from Wednesday for drive-thru only, and the Chatham branch for delivery only through services such as Deliveroo and Just Eat.
Although fast food fans won’t be able to access the full Burger King menu, favourites such as the Chicken Royale, Bacon Double Cheeseburger and Whopper will be available.
Burger King's Medway North branch at the M2 services in Rainham also reopened earlier this month.
The firm plans to open 40 restaurants per week, from this week onwards. It is hoping to reopen 350 restaurants - 68% of its branches - by the end of June.
The firm says a number of procedures have been put in place to safeguard the health of staff and customers.
Employees will be given personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves, and stringent cleaning measures will be in place.
Contactless delivery options will also be available through Deliveroo and Just Eat, while all Burger King staff has been "comprehensively trained on the government’s social distancing measures".
Katie Evans, marketing director at Burger King UK, said: "We are so pleased to be able to open more restaurants this week and slowly but surely get back to ‘normal’, ensuring all safety measures are in place."
