A burglar who broke into two homes and used stolen bank cards has just started a two-year prison sentence.

Police arrested 28-year-old Sylwester Pasierbiewicz in August following an investigation into a burglary in Osbourne Terrace, Margate, in April last year where a TV, Playstation, iPhone, iPad and a bank card were stolen.

He was also charged with another burglary in Albion Road, Cliftonville, in July last year where a wallet and bank card were stolen.

He was accused of seven counts of fraud by false representation after he used stolen bank cards to obtain £90 from a cash machine in Margate.

He also used the cards to apply for a loan, use online gambling sites and buy fuel at petrol stations in Broadstairs and Ramsgate. The total value of the fraud was more than £680.

After pleading guilty he was sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday to two years imprisonment for the burglaries and six months for the fraud offences to be run concurrently.
