Burglary in Margate as police appeal for help after break-in at house in All Saints Avenue

Burglars smashed their way into a house in broad daylight before stealing watches, jewellery, sat nav and two cameras.

Detectives are now hunting suspects after the break-in in Margate on Bank Holiday Monday morning.

The incident happened at a house in All Saints Avenue between 11am and 1pm.

Police say the items were reported stolen after the thieves entered through a rear window and officers are reviewing CCTV as part of their investigation.

The force is now appealing to the public who may have seen anything suspicious.

A spokesman said: "Suspects for a burglary are being sought by detectives following a break-in at a property in Margate.

"On Monday, May 6 between 11am and 1pm a house in All Saints Avenue was broken into where electrical items, watches and jewellery have been reported stolen.

"Items stolen include a sat nav, watches, jewellery including rings, cufflinks and two Nikon cameras.

"It is understood the suspects entered the house via a rear window, which was found broken.

"Inquiries are ongoing, which includes the review of CCTV. In the meantime, anyone with information or who noticed anything suspicious in the area should call the Kent Police appeal line."
