Campaigners against government austerity measures protesting outside the Turner Contemporary today ahead of an expected visit by the Prime Minister.
David Cameron is rumoured to be visiting the Margate gallery this morning amid feverish speculation on social networking sites.
Despite no official confirmation of Mr Cameron's visit, campaigners are outside the seafront building making their voices heard against cuts in benefits and public services.
Manwhile, the first meeting of the People's Assembly Against Austerity in Kent will take place in Broadstairs at the Queen's Road Baptist Church at 7.30pm.
Speakers will include London MP Jeremy Corbyn, Natalie Bennett, leader of the Green Party, and Christine Shawcroft, a member of the Labour Party National Executive Committee.
The meeting has been organised by Thanet Trades Union Council, Anti-Cuts Thanet and the Green Party.
