Canadian coffee shop chain Tim Hortons has announced its new drive-thru store in Broadstairs will be open by the summer.
The new venue on land next to Tesco at Broadstairs Retail Park is the first in east Kent, and is understood to be launching within the next six months.
The branch will have inside seating for 90 guests and a further 24 seats outside, and create up to 50 jobs.
Chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons UK Kevin Hydes told KentOnline: "We have wanted to bring Tim Hortons to Broadstairs for a long while and are absolutely delighted we are able to announce the opening this year.
"Broadstairs is a beautiful seaside town in an increasingly vibrant part of the county, the perfect location for fans and first-timers, locals and tourists, to get their hands on our offerings."
The restaurants are known for their grand opening giveaways, and Broadstairs residents are "encouraged to keep their eyes peeled" for news on what will be on offer.
My Hydes added: "Customers can expect Canada’s favourite coffee and freshly baked donuts around the clock - as well as delicious breakfast, lunch and evening meal options, including hot sandwiches, burgers and wraps.
"We are proud to be investing in the local community and are recruiting for a variety of full and part-time roles. We encourage local fans of Tim Hortons to keep an eye out for more news as we develop our plans."
Tim Hortons opened its first Kent branch in Gravesend in October, where a customer waited 20 hours to win a year's supply of coffee.
Work on the new building is almost complete, with a new drive-thru and parking spaces included in the site next to McDonald's and Tesco.
