Cannabis worth £25,000 has been seized by police during a crackdown on speeding drivers.
The drugs were found by special constables during a Road Safety Week operation in Ramsgate Road, Margate, on Saturday.
Officers ordered a driver to pull over for not wearing a seatbelt but they drove off.
After a search the car was found dumped in Nash Lane, Margate.
Inside the boot were three large bag with a number of vacuum-packed parcels of cannabis, estimated to have a street value of between £20,000 and £25,000.
Between Monday and Sunday last week, police officers joined special constables and volunteers from the Speedwatch scheme in the crackdown.
More than 1,100 drivers were seen speeding and a number were stopped for using their phones while driving and not wearing a seatbelt.
Drivers spotted speeding by the Speedwatch volunteers will receive warning letters.
Motorists were given roadside breath tests, verbal warnings and some had their cars seized.
Sgt Steve Dunnett, of the roads policing unit, helped to co-ordinate the force’s support during the campaign which was led by road safety charity Brake.
He said: "Officers, special constables and volunteers spent the week working to remind drivers of how to keep safe on the roads not only in an enforcement role but also in an educational way, working to prevent issues before they arise."
A total of five motorists were spotted speeding in Gravesham, 165 in Maidstone, 296 in Tonbridge and Malling, 393 in Tunbridge Wells, 161 in Sevenoaks, 99 in Canterbury, 38 in Dover and one in Folkestone.
