A car has crashed into a house - destroying the front of the building.
Windows were smashed and brickwork was left piled on the floor following the incident in Boundary Road, Ramsgate, shortly after midnight - but nobody was injured.
One woman reported waking up to "a car flying up Boundary Road and then [hearing] a massive crash", before going outside along with other neighbours to see what had happened.
"The car had literally gone through the front of someone's house," she said. "No windows left, nothing."
Witnesses reported a huge police presence, with response cars parked up in the street and in the car park of nearby Asda.
One resident reported hearing a car "come steaming down near Pike Lane" shortly before the crash, which happened at about 12.15am.
"Hope the people in the house in question are OK," he added.
Another woman said she was unsurprised by the incident, as drivers frequently speed along Boundary Road.
"It's used as a racetrack late at night, hear it all the time," she said. "Been waiting for this to happen where we live. Wow, what a mess. Poor woman."
Police say they have arranged for the vehicle to be recovered from the scene.
