Police, fire crews and paramedics were called to Granville Marina in Ramsgate yesterday after a car crashed through railings and landed upside-down on the beach below.

At around 5.30pm, police were called to reports a car had smashed through the promenade railings and fallen 5m on to the beach.

Officers attended to find a car overturned.

Three occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and the car was later recovered.

Police say they are investigating how the car ended up on the seafront.
