Shoppers and businesses in Thanet are being targetted as part of the latest charity scam.
An individual pretending to be from the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association has been trying to sell raffle tickets in aid of the organisation.
The person responsible shows an identity card as 'proof' of the raffle's legitimacy and sells the tickets with the promise of a £1,000 top prize.
In a statement, the charity said: "We would like to make it clear that this person is not a staff member or volunteer for the charity and we have no knowledge of this raffle or the prize being offered."
The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, which relies entirely on voluntary donations, has asked anyone who is offered raffle tickets by the individual to report them to the police.
