A cleaner who saved five kittens by giving them mouth-to-mouth is appealing for help to get one of them walking.
Little Hercules, who is only 14 weeks old, has ataxia, or wobbly kitten syndrome, as well as brain tremors and is unable to walk properly.
Before any kind of treatment can begin, he needs MRI and CT scans costing £4,000.
Julie Banks, of Central Road in Ramsgate, has been looking after the kitten, which belongs to a wild cat living at a nearby car wash, with support from Cats in Crisis, Plunkett’s vets in Ramsgate and Briar House in Broadstairs.
The 44-year-old, who runs her own cleaning business, said: “He has no balance. He can use his legs individually to wash himself and get from A to B in a very unconventional way, but he just can’t get the co-ordination.”
Since then, Miss Banks has been referred to a vet in Cambridge, but to carry out the vital scans, it will cost her between £3,000 and £4,000.
He will then likely need operations and further treatment.

She has now set up a Go Fund Me page in the hope people can help Hercules, who is now living with her and her partner.
“He’s such a lovely, loving cat and has gone through so much,” Miss Banks said.
“He’s a little fighter. We’ve got to give him a chance. He’s a beautifully natured boy with so much determination. He wants to be independent.”
She said many kittens born with ataxia are put down due to the cost of treatment, but Miss Banks wants to get Hercules up and walking properly.
“Cats in Crisis said they wish there were more people like us because then they could learn more about the condition.”
