A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital after falling from a cliff early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Palm Bay, Cliftonville near Margate, at around 5.30am.

The victim has been transferred to a London hospital.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are satisfied there was no third party involvement and are not treating the incident as suspicious."
