A 51-year-old man who fell over a cliff at Westgate, near Margate, on August 7 has died in hospital from his injuries.

The man had been rescued by coastguards from a ledge about two-thirds of the way down the cliff and taken to hospital in Margate, but he died on Thursday.

The name of the man has not yet been been revealed by police. The coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held.
