A 48-year-old man is set to appear before magistrates this morning after being charged with murder.

Trevor Brazier, of Northdown Road, Margate, was arrested at his home shortly before 6.30am on Saturday and will appear at Medway Magistrate’s Court this morning.

Paramedics arrived at the property where another man, also aged 48, was treated for serious injuries.

Despite their best efforts he died in hospital. Brazier was charged with the man’s murder yesterday and will appear via video link.

Due to their previous contact at the address, police have referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which will investigate the handling of the case.
