Chart-topping singer Craig David has named Dreamland as one of his favourite venues to perform at.
The multi-million-selling artist has twice entertained fans during the Margate amusement park’s annual Summer Series.
Earlier this year, he headlined the Scenic Stage, bringing his TS5 party brand and biggest hits to the seaside spot.
Speaking to Ben Pearce as a part of kmfm’s Hit List following the release of his new single, In Your Hands, the singer expressed his admiration for the Kent venue.
He said: “Do you know what I’ve got to say? I promise I’m not just gassing this up, but Dreamland is one of my favourite shows to perform at.
“I just love it, the way the stage is set up and the way it banks up with the crowd right there - it feels like you’re at a fun fair.
“And I always said, please, I need to come and do this show again. So when I got booked to come and do it again, I was like, ‘oh my God, you’ve got me in the bag’.
“Then leading on from that, the people, the crowd, are so up for it and so appreciative of what’s going on.
“That’s why you can have these amazing series that go on, and you can have it really become one of the most poignant festivals in the year for me. I just love it.
“So yeah, you’ve got this kid in me that just really wants to go to Dreamland.”
David first became famous in 1999 when he was featured on Re-Rewind, a track by garage duo Artful Dodger.
The singer is behind Top 10 singles such as Fill Me In, 7 Days and Walking Away.
He has also been nominated for numerous BRIT, Grammy, MOBO, and Ivor Novello awards in his 24-year career.
Craig David first performed at Dreamland in 2022, and our reporter praised the party-like atmosphere during his performance.
Artists have already been announced for the next instalment of Dreamland’s Summer Series, with Olly Murs set to take to the stage in August as a part of his 2025 arena tour.
