Motorists in Thanet faced delays today after a crash closed a road in Ramsgate just before noon.

The accident happened at the junction of Haine Road and Manston Road.

Police spokesman Scarlet Jones said: "Kent Police received a report of a collision involving a black Vauxhall Zafira and a blue Mercedes at 11.48am.

"Officers are attending the scene in Manston Road, Ramsgate. No injuries have been reported."

The road had re-opened and traffic returned to normal by 2.30pm.
