Firefighters were called to a fire in a top floor flat of a property in Brockley Road, Margate late last night.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze in the of an end-of-terrace property from just after 11.30pm.

They used a main jet and a hose reel, and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the building.

There were no casualties, and the cause is not yet known.
