A crash between a cyclist and a car has blocked a main road.

There are delays after the crash was reported in Ramsgate shortly after 4.30pm.

Police are reported to be at the scene on the B2014 Newington Road after the collision near the Allenby Road junction in Ramsgate.

The cyclist was taken to hospital but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, a police spokesman said.

They added: “Kent Police was called at 3.44pm on Tuesday, December 26 to a collision involving a car and a cyclist in Newington Road, Ramsgate.

“Officers and paramedics attended the scene where the cyclist was treated for injuries. He was taken to a local hospital further medical attention.”
