A dad and his two daughters had to be rescued by fire crews last night after their car got stuck in flood water.
Firefighters were called to Laundry Road, Minster, just after 8pm after the car got stuck.
The two children were carried to safety by firefighters, but crews had to use a short extension ladder to help the man from his car.
The road was closed in both directions before crews left the scene at 8.44pm.
Officers at the Kent Fire and Rescue Service have since reminded drivers to take care around flooded roads.
Ramsgate watch manager Scott Pearce said: "Fire crews are reminding motorists not to drive down flooded roads as it is difficult to gauge how deep it is and it only takes a small amount of water to wreck your engine.
"Getting stuck in flood water ties up the emergency services unnecessarily.
"With more rain forecast overnight, please take care on the roads and adjust your speed to suit the road conditions."
