The father of twins allegedly murdered by their mother has posted a heartfelt message to them on what would have been their second birthday today.

Jake and Chloe Ford were found dead at their home in Castle Drive, Westwood, on Thursday, December 27.

Their grieving father, Steven Ford, writing on Twitter this morning, said: "Daddy's twins are two today.

"Today is your birthday and will always be, a day to be thankful for our memories, a day I can celebrate all of the times we had together, a day that's yours and mine forever.

"Happy birthday Chloe x Happy birthday Jake x."

Mr Ford's wife, Samantha Ford, was arrested on suspicion of murder after the twins were discovered in the early hours of the morning.

They were rushed to hospital where they were pronounced dead by doctors.

Ford, 37, is set to enter pleas on Thursday, January 31.
