Daniel John Wisdom, 25, ploughed his grey MG ZR into the wall of the Girls World beauty salon, causing thousands of pounds of damage.

Wisdom, of Brockmans Close in Minster, suffered serious, life-changing injuries, along with his two passengers who were both 15.

He has now been jailed for three months after admitting charges of careless driving and driving whilst disqualified, with no insurance and no MOT at Margate Magistrates Court today.

After the hearing, PC Christopher Oliver-Jones said: "This collision had a serious impact, not only on the casualties, which included the driver himself, but also on the local community and in particular the local business who has suffered considerable loss due to the damage caused to their property.

"The jail sentence sends out a strong message that drivers will be held accountable for their actions and there are serious consequences for careless driving and driving while disqualified."
