A band set to perform at Dreamland this week have cancelled their gig following the death of a crew member.
Scooter, which have sold more than 30 million records, were due to appear at the Margate venue on Friday.
But the group announced the concert, which is part of the Summer Series, has been cancelled and rescheduled to next year.
This is due to the sudden death of Seb, the band’s backliner, who was 40 years old.
The group says his passing came “suddenly and completely unexpectedly”.
A Facebook post on the band’s page reads: “Some of you have already heard at the Seaside and Summerdays Festivals a tragic incident has taken place amongst our crew.
“Suddenly and completely unexpectedly our great backliner, Seb, was taken from our lives.
“Our crew and we are shocked, devastated and deeply saddened.
“Our sympathy and heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and all those who were close to him.
“We would like to help prevent incidents of this kind and would like to recommend the organisation Herzstiftung.de to you and support it together with us.”
Deutsche Herzstiftung, which translates in English as the German Heart Foundation, aims to reduce cardiovascular diseases.
Dreamland’s website states the event has been cancelled this Friday and has been rescheduled to June 13 next year.
All tickets will be valid for the new date.
Scooter is a German trance band formed in 1993 and has spent more than 500 weeks in the singles charts.
Netflix documentary FCK2020 follows the band, which has more than 130 gold and platinum records worldwide.
