Drivers are facing severe delays after a water main burst near a shopping centre.

The A256 Westwood Road in Broadstairs is currently closed eastbound from Northwood Road roundabout near the Westwood Cross shopping centre.

Rumfields Road is also closed at the junction with A256 Westwood Road, after the burst water main caused flooding in two homes this morning.

Signed diversion routes are in place along A254 Northwood Road, Margate Road, Pysons Road, Fairfield Road and A255 Broadstairs Road.

Police are currently at the scene managing traffic.
