Drink-driving arrest after crash in Nash Road, Margate

A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a collision before being taken to hospital.

Nash Road in Margate was shut for about three hours after emergency services descended on the scene of the two-car crash.

The incident happened shortly after 9.30pm on Sunday.

A police spokesman said: "A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and released on bail before being taken to hospital."

It is understood a second man was injured but he was not taken to hospital.

"The road was closed for about three hours while both vehicles were recovered," a spokesman for the force added.

The ambulance service also confirmed it was called to the scene.

A spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a two vehicle RTC on Nash Road, Margate, at about 9.40pm on Sunday.

"Ambulance crews attended the scene and a man was assessed and treated before being taken to QEQM Hospital."
