A fire which struck at a home almost completely destroyed a room and left much of the rest of the house either smoke or heat-damaged.
An eagle-eyed driver raised the alarm after spotting the house fire in Manston Road, Ramsgate.
Fire crews arrived at 7.39pm to see heavy smoke billowing from the property.
Everyone was accounted for, but crews had to use a combination of breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and a main jet to bring the fire under control.
The front room was said to be 90% destroyed by fire, with the rest of the property suffering extensive heat and smoke damage.
