The parents of a man accused of killing a father and daughter when a car hit a family have appeared in court charged with taking evidence from the scene of the crash.
Noga Sella, 37, and Yoram Hirshfeld, 81, both died after they were struck by an Alfa Romeo in Leopold Street in Ramsgate in August.
Nitesh Bissendary, 30, from Manston, was previously charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, failing to provide a sample, failing to stop and driving while unfit through drugs.
Today, his parents appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court accused of concealing potential evidence.
Barjunsing Bissendary, 58, and Sadhana Bissendary, 55, also from Manston, are charged with acts intending to pervert the course of justice.
The court heard they are accused of moving items from the scene of the crash, and something from a bedroom at their home.
Neither entered a plea, and their cases were sent to Canterbury Crown Court to be dealt with.
Both were granted bail to appear there on November 18.
Mrs Sella, who was five weeks pregnant, and Mr Hirshfeld were walking back to their hotel from a family meal when they were fatally struck by the car just after 9.30pm on August 10, an inquest opening was previously told.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the mother-of-two from Cambridge sadly died at the scene.
Mr Hirshfeld, a retired maths professor at Tel Aviv University, had been on holiday from his native Israel visiting his daughter.
He sustained serious injuries to his spine and died on the way to hospital.
Mrs Sella's husband Omer was injured, along with two children.
In the aftermath, the community reacted with shock to the tragedy.
Dozens attended a vigil at the scene, and well-wishers left floral tributes.
One read: "We don't know your names, but we was with you all, and praying for you when medics tried to save you both last night. Our prayers are with you both and the rest of your family."
Nitesh Bissendary appeared at Canterbury Crown Court in August, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges, and a provisional trial date of November 28 was set.
