Jealous bully Daniel Longbottom left his girlfriend with a bald patch – after tugging out her hair during a drug-fuelled bust-up.
The 21-year-old snorted cocaine before launching the attack on his lover – in front of two children, aged four months and two years.
Longbottom, of Westgate Bay Avenue, Westgate on Sea, thumped the terrified Jade Pemble – because he suspected her of texting other men.
Now a judge has jailed the thug – who has a history of violence on partners – for three years for affray, criminal damage and assault.
Prosecutor Kieran Brand told Canterbury Crown Court how Ms Pemble had been in a relationship with Longbottom for two months before last August’s attack.
She and her two-year-old daughter had gone to the flat of a friend, Zoe Bottom when her drunken boyfriend snatched their mobile phones.
“He started going through her text and Facebook messages. As she had nothing to hide, Ms Pemble wasn’t bothered.
“Longbottom was slurring his speech and staggering around and said to her: ‘Have you been texting these behind my back?’ referring to two males.
“He then went over to her and punched her in the face twice with a clenched right fist, “ he added.
Mr Brand said Longbottom then snapped her £60 mobile phone in half before trying to make her sign into her Facebook account, snarling: “If there is anything there you are getting it!”.
The thug then threw Ms Bottom’s phone at his lover before grabbing her by the hair and dragging her into the hallway while punching her.
He tugged so hard that hair came away in his hand – but Longbottom just slapped her again telling her: ‘This is all your fault. You made me do it!’
The judge was then shown a photograph of the victims’ bald patch which only began to grow back this month – five months after the incident.
"You have also shown very little, if any, remorse and regard yourself as the victim!” - Judge Adele Williams to Longbottom
The attack ended when he pulled out a knife and held it to his own throat but later fell asleep.
Longbottom has a criminal record containing 48 offences including nine offences for violence.
He has now been ordered to stay away from Ms Pemble until 2017.
Judge Adele Williams told him: “Those women were terrified and you have a history of being violent to previous partners.
"You have also shown very little, if any, remorse and regard yourself as the victim!”
