Firefighters battled a blaze inside a bathroom causing a road closure.
Four fire engines and a height vehicle attended Broadstairs High Street yesterday at about 4.30pm following reports of a fire inside a flat.
Wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet, firefighters extinguished the flames by 6pm.
SECAmb paramedics treated two people for smoke inhalation following the incident, believed to have been sparked by an electrical fault.
Residents nearby reported seeing Verde Road, which runs between the Co-op and Cafe Grill, shut as a result.
The ambulance service has also been contacted for comment.
