Emergency services were called to a crash near a busy roundabout as drivers were stuck in long rush hour queues.

Police and paramedics attended the collision involving one car at the Sevenscore roundabout near Ramsgate at 7.40am.

Drivers faced delays on the A256 towards Sandwich as a result.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended and assisted with traffic management and the recovery of the vehicle."

Witnesses reported that they were at a "standstill" for about 20 minutes.

One person said: "Big accident, the road is closed and a huge traffic jam. Avoid if possible."

The road has now been cleared.

The ambulance service has been approached for details about any injuries.
