An enforcement officer has reportedly been assaulted in Margate.

At about 5.10pm on Tuesday, May 1, the victim spoke to a woman on Hawley Street when an unknown man approached the office and started shouting at him, making threats.

As the officer moved away, the man is said to have kicked him in the hand.

He was then seen running towards King Street.
