Two Thanet business women are holding an event to help others, as they say there's more and more women going into business.

Along with success coach Lisa Johnson, Lucy Baker will be holding a business booster event in Margate for Thanet business women.

The pair will be teaching business and confidence strategies.

Three guest experts will also be joining - Nicki James from Branding by Nicki, Jenny Holden from Chorus PR and Margate's Rowenna Harrison, founder of Rosita Bonita (jewellery designer).

Lucy said: "We really want to help small businesses strive.

"I think the event is great for women in the area because it is being run by two women in business, who have kids themselves, so we understand how important it is to have a workable strategy in place to enable the right clients to be targeted and won.

"A lot of these women have either come from London, left jobs after maternity leave or have fallen out love with working for someone else, and so start their own businesses to satisfy creativity and to gain work/ life balance.

"Places like Margate and Ramsgate are drawing people in and the business landscape is changing.

"It is a great time to start your own business in Thanet and with the right support, business can thrive.

"Personally, I know a lot of women who are business owners here in Thanet, and there is a lot of support when you can find the right groups of people.

"We are all about strategy, confidence and motivation.
