Detectives investigating the disappearance of famous children's author Helen Bailey have charged her partner with murder.
Ian Stewart, 55, was arrested in Broadstairs earlier this week following the discovery of a body on the grounds of the author's £1.5million home in Royston, Hertfordshire.
It is thought she had a holiday home in Kent.
Stewart, from Baldock Road, Royston, also faces further charges of perverting the course of justice and preventing lawful burial. He has appeared at Hatfield Remand Court today and remanded in custody to appear at At Albans Crown Court on Monday.A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Monday, July 18 and specialist searches at the author's home continue.Bailey, who wrote the Electra Brown books, was last seen walking her miniature dachshund Boris three months ago.
