Smoke from a second field fire in as many days in Thanet could be seen across Margate this afternoon.
At its peak, four fire engines were called to the scene off Suffolk Avenue in Westgate-on-sea.
Bathers enjoying the Bank Holiday sun on Margate beach could see the smoke across town.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "We currently have four fire crews in attendance of stubble alight in a field near Suffolk Avenue, Westgate-on-sea.
"We are also using our all terrain vehicle for easier access to the incident."
It comes less than 24 hours after a lineside fire in Birchington caused delays to train services.
It is not known yet what caused the fire to start.
