A person has been taken to hospital following a fire at a house in Broadstairs.
The casualty was initially treated at the scene by paramedics for breathing in smoke before being taken away for further examination.
It comes after fire broke out in the bedroom of their home in Grange Way.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled tackled the blaze using a high-pressure hose reel jet.
It happened at around 7.50pm and the cause is not yet known.
Crews remained at the scene for about 50 minutes clearing smoke and fumes from the property.
