A chip pan fire at a fish and chip shop forced firefighters to come to the rescue.
One person required emergency medical attention following the blaze at Sea Master in Broadstairs just after midday today.
Two fire engines attended the business in Albion Road, and spent more than half an hour extinguishing the flames.
A fire service spokesperson added: “Two fire engines attended the scene where crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
“A high-pressure fan was then used to ventilate the property.
“One person was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics after displaying symptoms of smoke inhalation.”
It is yet to be confirmed whether any serious damage has been caused to the shop.
